Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry

ZooMS is a method that uses mass spectrometry to fingerprint bone collagen peptides which collectively can help identify an archaeological sample to a particular animal species. This form of peptide mass fingerprinting is equally applicable to a range of other archaeological tissues such as skin, eggshell and hair.
